The Search for Miss Whistler 2011/2012

The most elite and talked about bikini show of the year happens Friday, August 26 @ Tommy Africas Night Club!

The Whistler Exposed Calendar & Tommy Africas will present 'The Search for Miss Whistler 2011/2012'.

Miss Whistler is the ultimate mountain beauty of our town. She is confident, athletic, driven, and proud to be a part of the community. Miss Whistler will encompass some responsibilities to be present at a few various events throughout the year, many of which are paid promotions and all of which are FUN!

Past recipients of the title have included:

Virginia Smith - 06/07
Melanie Belanger - 07/08
Sarah Sia-Cavalcanti- 08/09
Amanda Jane Heiress - 09/10
Kelly Hitchcock - 10/11

Our current Miss Whistler is ready to pass on the title and will be crowning the winner who will also receive a grand prize of $500 cash, a makeover @ L'Atelier Hair Boutique in Vancouver, and a photo shoot with renowned photographer Erich Saide.

Second Place takes $300 cash and Third Place $200 cash

All hopeful contestants will be asked to strut the catwalk in two outfits. The first outfit is anything ski bunny inspired (winter wear theme), and the second outfit is personal choice of either a bikini or lingerie.

The judging criteria is based on:

Answering a simple and general trivia question about the resort town
Beauty & Stage Presence
Audience Feedback

This is a fun night for everyone and always a packed house event! All hopefuls will need to be present to sign up no later than 10:30 pm.

The evening is in support of Spinal Cord Research. DJ Fidel Cashflow and Mike Grefner will be in house.

Miss Trail Bunny 2011 at the Longhorn Saloon

Smack in the midst of the Kokanee Crankworx Festival, The sexiest bike event takes place @ The Longhorn Saloon..

LADIES - get ready to sexify up your mountain biking attire. Hopeful contestants will be asked to strut the runway twice with their first ensemble featuring a mountain bike theme and second outfit change sporting their best bikini.

The events begins @ 9pm sharp and will feature music by Las Vegas DJ MICHAEL TOAST.

$350 CASH FOR FIRST PLACE !!!

Prize giveaways for the evening from TANTALUS BIKE SHOP in Squamish, BC.

Proceeds from the door charge will be donated to Canadian Spinal Cord Research.

Whistler Calendar Model Search 2012

CASTING ONE NIGHT ONLY for the next faces of the upcoming 2012 Whistler Exposed Calendar.

If you have had the interest in being a part of the exclusive local calendar this is the opportunity. On April 19, in the midst of the Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival, THE LONGHORN SALOON will be decorated with a runway across the room for all prospective models to take their walk and flash their sultry smiles.

The event kicks off at 9pm sharp. Ladies are required to have two outfits.

Sportswear or athletic apparel/theme.
Swimwear or Lingerie

These categories showcase the prospective models body type and athletic passion.

All you have to do is strut the runway in each outfit to your favorite song! Get your friends to come and cheer you on as the next sexy representative of this calendar! All Models that participate will receive a gift bag - sponsors TBA

Music for the evening is by the amazing DJ MICHAEL TOAST from Las Vegas and the event is hosted by MC ADAM.

The ideal model should have NO FEAR of any weather conditions when doing a photo shoot.
Photo shoots can and will take place via helicopter atop a mountain peak with bone chilling temperatures or in a glacier fed lake. Other photo shoots for this edition will include wake boarding, snowmobiling, kite boarding, ski/snowboard, mountain bike, and paddle board to name just a few.

Photographers in association with the calendar have included Rich Glass, Erich Saide, and Andy Dittrich.

COMPENSATION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Models are not compensated for the photo shoot but are paid for all promotions associated with the calendar.
Models are also required to do a minimum of three promotions throughout the year which generally include The Calendar Launch - a one night event held at a Whistler venue introducing the models of the edition. Other promotions associated with the calendar can include a Vancouver launch as well as an annual charitable golf tournament.

Models are required to promote and sell a certain quota of calendars. The top sellers have been rewarded with a trip to Las Vegas. Models must be at least 19 years old.

ABOUT THE CALENDAR

The exclusive calendar of Whistler, BC highlights the attractions and beautiful backdrops of the town all while featuring a beautiful, local lady. Launched in 2010, the calendar has gained much attention most recently with an international award taking the bronze as Best Wall Glamour Photography from The National and World Calendar Association.

Most importantly, the majority of the proceeds are donated to its charity of choice that being The Canadian Spinal Cord Research Organization. A donation of $10,000 has already been raised from the sales and events that go hand in hand with the calendar and its promotions. (www.csro.com)

Whistler Exposed Fashion Show & Calendar Launch Party 2011

Surprise guest MC Santa Claus hosted the V.I.P. Holiday Fashion Show featuring the models of the 2011 calendar. The local beauties took a strut down the catwalk in the latest ski and snowboard apparel, club wear, and romantic holiday lingerie.

Tommy Africas Nightclub was transformed into a runway and sexy discotheque complete with chocolate strawberry fountains, champagne, photo booth, and hors d'oeuvres to entice the guests for the show.

Music was done by the fresh sounds of Itchy & Scratchy, who have been jam packing the nights consistently this season with their party beats.

The evening was sponsored by its calendar partners of Dr. Zipe Goggles and Head Wear and Standard Building Supplies.

Presentation Cheque to C.S.R.O.

One of the proudest events and accomplishments to date for us at WHISTLER EXPOSED was a beautiful, fall day in October when the core team presented a cheque in the donation of $10,000 to its charity of choice The Canadian Spinal Cord Research Organization.

Met by Laurie Grant, who sits on the board of directors @ C.S.R.O., the donation was made possible thru calendar sales and events from the past year. Many of the establishments of whom sold the calendar and some of the corporate sponsors from the calendar had their logos printed on the presentation cheque.

The Search for Miss Whistler 2010/2011

Full house and massive line up, this annual event Held @ Tommy Africas Night Club exceeded everyone's expectations. The exclusive Search for Miss Whistler 2010/2011 had its top local ladies compete for the grand title and crowned this year's winner Kelly Hitchcock with second place going to Andreann Lamoureux and third place to Jocelyn Connelly.

Miss Whistler received a grand prize of $500 cash, a portfolio package with Karolina Turek Photography valued @ $1000.00, and was given the helicopter shoot featured on the back cover of the 2011 calendar.

Amazing donations from Canadian Snowmobile Adventures, Prior Snowboards, Razzmatazz Hair Salon, EcoChic Spa, Wedge Rafting, Trattoria Restaurant, Rics Grill Steakhouse and The Mixx Grill, Dr. Zipe Goggles, and The BC Lions.

Special Guest judges for the night included NHL superstar Shaone Morrisonn from The Buffalo Sabres and 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist Jon Montgomery.

Monster Energy Drink - Crankworx 2010

WHISTLER EXPOSED was contracted on with the ultimate energy drink company to promote and party during one of the largest outdoor mountain biking festivals in the world. The nine days included five models a day offering full Monster can samples at the famous two level VIP tent outside of The Longhorn Saloon and at the base of the mountain where much of the action took place. The Monster models were also hired on by WHISTLER EXPOSED and presented awards throughout the festival for the extreme riders.

Donations were taken at the Monster tent for sample cans and a substantial amount of money was raised in conjuction with the donation cheque to C.S.R.O.

The Search for Whistler's Next Top Model 2010

Casting for the 2011 Whistler Calendar took place just before the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival at the world famous Longhorn Saloon. The search was on not only for beauty but also seeking athletic, confident, and upbeat ladies with a flair for adventure. Some photo sessions can take place with chilling temperatures a top a mountain crevass via helicopter, balancing near a rock cliff, or lying in a chilly glacier fed lake. The models need to be up for anything and strong enough to battle the temperature!

Hosting the show for the evening was MC ADAM and special guest DJ from Las Vegas - MICHAEL TOAST.

Two categories of competition at this event were sexy sportswear and lingerie. The models drew attention to their natural sporty nature and finished the show with their own wardrobe ensembles which in some of the calendar shoots is up to the model herself to provide.

The two ladies who caught the eye of our judges and WHISTLER EXPOSED Team were Kelly Hitchcock (who will be featured as Miss December 2011) and Emalaine Landz (to be featured as Miss November).

All door proceeds for the evening were donated to The Canadian Spinal Cord Organization and included the guests with a complimentary 2010 calendar and Whistler Lager Beverage courtesy of Whistler Brewing Company.

Calendar Launch Party 2009

The wait will soon be over for the much anticipated WHISTLER EXPOSED Calendar. The launch party will be hosted @ Tommy Africas Night Club on Thursday, November 12, 2009. Meet and greet all fourteen calendar models and collect their autographs as you enjoy the evening filled with body painted models, complimentary hors d'oeuvres, chocolate fondue and a musical performance by featured calendar model Tara Lett.

DJ for the evening is Tim Livingstone playing sexy house and retro beats. Doors open @ 9pm and the event MC Rego Fresh will be starting the show @ 10pm sharp. Some proceeds and a donation box for the evening will be given to The Canadian Spinal Cord Organization.

Calendars are available that evening from the models for $20.00 and afterwords will be available throughout Whistler, Squamish, and Vancouver at various retailers.
